The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons

This story is about two lives – how they survived the horrors that affected their lives and how they drawn to each other in an impossible love. In 1941, Leningrad, there lived a family named Metanovs in two room house. Their lives were shattered on 22 June 1941 when Hitler invaded Russia. Due to this war, everyone’s lives were changed and never be the same again. There was an young girl in that family named TATIANA who met an young officer named ALEXANDER, completely changed her life other than the war life. They both became in that a way that they were unable to stay away from each other. It clearly showed that the war became unstoppable and their love became unstoppable. But, due to the dark sides in every people lives, many changes took place in Tatiana and Alexander lives.

This book is completely an obsession for everyone who chooses it. keeping other people aside, I myself became obsessed with this book. I read many love stories, but i never heard a story like this before. I completely drowned in their love and reached the bottom to feel them. I felt their love, their happiness, their grief, their anguish, their relationship, their intimacy ultimately i felt everything they felt.

This is all only possible because of Paullina Simons and her beautiful literature. She crafted every word like if we are actually in that situation and emitting our own emotions and feelings. She clearly showed her love for Russia and also expressed her woe about the Second World War, which costs many innocent lives and a great loss to the many species and nature.

I definitely recommend everyone to read this beautiful book once in their life and feel the emotions exhibiting in between the lines of this life changing book.

PS: While reading this beauty, please have some tissues beside you 😉
